For the flight home, work backwards: about 50 minutes on the road, the airline's check-in deadline on top, and time for the security check at the terminal entrance. Whatever you need between handing in the key and the car's arrival — a later checkout, a corner for the cases, a shower after a last swim — is the hotel's to agree, so ask at reception a day or two ahead rather than on the morning itself. If there is an hour to spare, the shops and pharmacies a few minutes' walk inland are the nearest place to spend it.

The route home simply retraces the arrival from the Gündoğdu shore. The car goes back to Turizm Caddesi, takes the local road north for nearly 4 km past the greenhouses and Gündoğdu village, and turns left at the traffic lights onto the westbound D400, so Side and Manavgat never come into the journey. As far as Serik the highway is broken every few kilometres by traffic-light junctions; beyond the town it runs on past Aksu to the airport junction. In all it is 55 km and about 50 minutes, with the airport's own access roads as the final stretch.
