Okurcalar sits on the line where the Alanya district hands the coast over to Manavgat, and it is the longest run west that Gazipaşa–Alanya Airport makes along this strip: 82 km, and the end of the Alanya side of the GZP list. Most people making it booked an all-inclusive week and then found their flight went to the small airport east of Alanya rather than the big one west of Side, which is how a resort this far along ends up on a Gazipaşa transfer list at all. The complexes here are self-contained, so the journey is the only part that needs arranging.

Reckon on about 70 minutes for the 82 km. It is one road the whole way with nothing to miss until the last turning, and the arrival is unusual for this coast: past Avsallar the ribbon of shops and apartments simply stops, and what follows is a line of large gated complexes standing on their own frontage with farmland behind them and the district boundary a little further on. The gates come in quick succession, which is the only thing about this leg that ever goes wrong.

• Several complexes share the same short stretch of highway frontage with separate gates, so book with the property name exactly as your voucher spells it.
• All-inclusive stays here mean real luggage, so say how many cases, pushchairs or travel cots are coming and the vehicle will have the boot space.
• If friends are staying at a different complex along the same stretch, send both names: the entrances are minutes apart and one run usually covers them.
• In complexes this size the walk from the room to the barrier takes longer than anyone expects, so on the way home be at reception rather than in the room at the pickup time.
