Leaving, the car collects you at the main entrance on the boulevard and threads back through Selimiye to the D400 junction, a short stretch of town driving. From there it is the same 68 km westward past Serik and Aksu, about 60 minutes in ordinary traffic, and the airport turning comes up on the right well before the outskirts of Antalya city.

Since the sea here is at a beach club 800 metres away rather than outside the room, a last-morning swim depends on the shuttle as much as on the flight. Ask reception the evening before when the final bus comes back from the beach, leave yourself time after it to shower and close the cases, and name the main entrance at number 21 as the pickup point. A car sent to the beach club would cost minutes that a tight departure cannot spare.

• Count the pickup hour backwards: take the departure time, subtract the terminal margin your airline asks for, then subtract the 60 minutes of road, and give us that hour when you book.
• Buggies, travel cots and child seats all need to be declared for the homeward leg as well; the vehicle is prepared before it sets out, not at the kerb.
