Rooms have to be vacated by noon, and a late check-out until 3 pm or 6 pm can be booked at the club, for a charge, when rooms are free. Families on an evening flight usually weigh that against a final afternoon on the beach with the bags stored. The pickup itself is set when you book either way, worked back from the airline's check-in deadline, with the 35 minutes of road and a margin for the summer queues inside Antalya's terminals added on top.

Leaving, the car turns off the beach road, climbs back between the Carya and Sueno courses to Kadriye and rejoins the D400 heading west for the airport, 31 km in all. At night that distance passes quickly, and an early pickup meets little more than delivery vans and staff buses going the other way. Golfers who chose Masmavi for the courses should count their bags carefully: a set of clubs takes the room of a large suitcase, and on the way home it shares the boot with everything bought during the stay.

• Give the club's entrance on the Kadriye beach road as the pickup point; the public footpath on the sea side of the grounds is not somewhere a car can reach.
• With clubs in the party, say how many sets are travelling so that a vehicle of the right size is sent.
• If the room is kept until 6 pm, put the pickup after that hour rather than before it, since the car arrives at the time agreed.
