On departure day the meeting point is the same street entrance the car used on arrival, not the beach side of the hotel, so bring the cases there for the agreed time. To set that time, start from the flight and subtract: the airline's check-in deadline, the security queue at the terminal door and some 55 minutes of driving. A late checkout or a room to change in is up to the hotel rather than to us, and reception can tell you what is possible if you ask before the last day. An hour left over is enough to walk to Kumköy's shops and back.

Leaving Evrenseki, the car takes the town streets north, back across Cumhuriyet Bulvarı, and after about two and a half kilometres turns left at the traffic lights onto the westbound D400. From there to Serik the dual carriageway is punctuated by traffic lights: at Çolaklı, twice on the boulevard through Gündoğdu and again at junctions further west. After Serik the road carries on past Aksu to the exit for the airport. From the hotel entrance to the terminal it is 60 km and about 55 minutes.

• Give the street address, 33. Sokak No:6, Evrenseki, on the return booking as well as the name: with Trendy Palm Beach only about 3 km away in Kumköy, the word Trendy on its own is not enough.
• The beach is just across the promenade, so a last swim on departure morning is easy; leave enough time after it to shower, change and be at the street entrance when the car arrives.
• Only incoming flights are tracked automatically; if the airline reschedules your departure, a message with the new time is all it takes to move the pickup.
