Antalya Airport to Konyaaltı transfer
Konyaaltı is the western beach district of Antalya, a long stretch of pale pebble shore that runs from the cliffs below the city to the foot of the Beydağları mountains. It works as a city neighbourhood rather than a resort: apartment blocks, tram stops, the aquarium and a wide landscaped promenade sit behind the beach, and the people using it are as often residents as visitors. Accommodation ranges from large seafront hotels to rented flats a few streets back. At the western end the mountains rise straight out of the bay, giving the district its recognisable outline.
The transfer is one of the shorter ones, 22 km and about 25 minutes, but it crosses the city from one side to the other. The usual route takes the ring road westwards and then drops down towards the shore near the old centre. What moves the clock here is commuter traffic rather than holiday traffic: the same journey feels quick at midnight and slow at six in the evening. The district is also several kilometres long, so an address at its western end can add another ten minutes at the finish.
