Antalya Airport to Kaleiçi transfer
Kaleiçi is the walled old town at the centre of Antalya, a dense tangle of Ottoman houses, courtyards and stepped lanes wrapped around the Roman harbour below the cliffs. Most of the buildings have been restored as boutique hotels, guesthouses, cafés and craft workshops, and Hadrian's Gate marks the way in through the walls from the city side. You can walk across the whole quarter in about twenty minutes, and the harbour below still serves as a mooring for excursion boats. People who stay here come for the old town and its restaurants rather than for a beach.
This is the shortest of the runs on the Antalya side: 16 km and roughly 20 minutes from the terminal, along the main road towards the city centre. The drive is urban the whole way, between shopping districts and residential blocks, and the only real variable is congestion at the start and end of the working day. Night arrivals are straightforward, because the route is lit along its length and the streets empty out. The slow part comes right at the end, where the modern street grid stops and the old town begins.
