Antalya Airport to Doğan Hotel by Prana Hotels & Resorts transfer
Doğan Hotel by Prana Hotels & Resorts, formerly plain Doğan Hotel before the Prana name was added, occupies restored old houses on Mermerli Banyo Sokak, on the harbour side of Kaleiçi. Step outside and you are in the walled town itself: stone lanes, Ottoman-era houses turned into guesthouses and cafés, and the Roman harbour a short way below. Mermerli beach, a small bathing spot tucked under the walls next to the harbour, is listed at a minute or two on foot. The hotel has no car park of its own, which says a good deal about the streets that surround it.
From Antalya Airport it is 16 km, around 20 minutes. Serik Caddesi, the city stretch of the D400, brings the car west; Aspendos Bulvarı and then Ali Çetinkaya Caddesi lead it south-west through Muratpaşa, and Atatürk Caddesi takes it along the edge of the old town past Hadrian's Gate. Beyond that point the streets shrink fast. Inside the walls the lanes are cobbled, tight and partly closed to traffic, so the driver brings you as near to the hotel as a car can go and the final metres may be on foot, with the cases rolled over stone. The meeting at the start is the easy part: a name sign held up in the arrivals hall.
