Diamond Excellence Resort & Spa to Antalya Airport: return transfer & taxi

On the way home the name matters more than it did on arrival. Coming in, you are already in the car and the driver follows the booking; going out, the car has to find you, and with Diamond De Luxe as the next hotel to the west, a pickup written down under the wrong Diamond can leave a car waiting at the neighbour's entrance while you wait at your own. Check that the return booking says Diamond Excellence, not the old name or plain Diamond, and if reception ordered the car for you, ask how they wrote it down. The car then comes at the agreed time to the entrance you arrived at.

The road out is the arrival run backwards: up the lane to Turizm Caddesi, east along it for most of a kilometre, north to the D400 at the Çolaklı junction and then west, back through Gündoğdu and past Serik, the Belek junctions and Aksu to the terminal, 57 km in the same 55 minutes. This western end of the Side coast is the end nearer the airport, so for the same flight a pickup here can be set later than one from the hotels beyond Side's old town, which have a longer stretch of the D400 ahead of them.

• Child seats are arranged journey by journey, so if the children had them on the ride from the airport, add them to the return booking too: they cost nothing, but only come if requested.
• Last errands need no stop on the airport run: a supermarket and a pharmacy on Turizm Caddesi are within about ten minutes' walk of the entrance.
• The fare is fixed per vehicle when you book and there is no night tariff, so a pickup before dawn for an early flight costs the same as one at noon.
