On the way out the car retraces the short run along Turizm Caddesi back to the D400 and turns west towards Serik. Standing on the western, airport side of the Side coast, this hotel has less highway ahead of it than anything around Kumköy or Side itself, so for the same flight its pickup can be set a little later than those further east. Early in the morning the short run to the highway is quiet; around the late-morning change-over, coaches from the neighbouring hotels use the same turns, and a few minutes can go at the junction.

From there it is 57 km and 55 minutes to the terminal along the road you arrived on, through Gündoğdu, Serik and Aksu. With a family, the time that runs short is usually the hour before the car rather than the drive itself: pushchairs folded, bags weighed, swimsuits dried and packed. Give the number of cases and pushchairs when you book so that the vehicle has room to spare, and be at the entrance at the agreed time, when the driver is already there waiting.

• A pickup booked by the hotel itself sometimes carries only the street address; Fettahoğlu Caddesi No 1 is right, but make sure the hotel name De Luxe is written next to it.
• Seats used on the way in are not carried over automatically: put them on the departure booking as well, again with the children's ages.
• If the pickup comes before breakfast is served, ask reception the evening before whether something can be packed for the road.
