The departure is short and simple: Çamlık Caddesi, then Kadriye Yolu north past the theme park for six kilometres or so to the D400, then west past Aksu to the terminal, 29 km and about 30 minutes in all. Only the first few kilometres are village road; everything after the Kadriye junction is dual carriageway.

What shapes the last day here is the beach rather than the road. The shuttle does not start until 08:00, so with a morning flight there is no last swim, and with an afternoon flight the final trip down to the sea has to fit around checkout and the ride back up. Book the pickup by counting back from the flight: 30 minutes of driving plus the airline's time at the terminal, which for an international departure in summer is usually about three hours. The car comes to the hotel entrance at the agreed time.

• Allow for the shuttle ride back from the beach when you plan the last afternoon; the pickup time is set at booking and the car arrives then.
• A night departure after an evening at the theme park is easy to arrange, but book it beforehand rather than looking for a car outside the park gates.
• The price is per vehicle and agreed when you book, not per passenger, so everyone travelling together in that vehicle is covered by the one fare.
