The departure starts with the same village roads in reverse, two and a half kilometres back up through Çolaklı to the D400, and before dawn there is next to nothing on them. Once on the highway the car heads west through Gündoğdu, Serik and Aksu for the rest of the 57 km, and 55 minutes is a fair estimate outside the busiest summer afternoons. The airport approach brings you to the departures level of your terminal, so tell us which terminal your airline uses if you know it.

Close neighbours under one brand make the pickup point worth a moment's thought. If your group has spent its evenings at Elite or Golden Beach, the car can collect from whichever gate the booking names, but from that gate only; settle it in advance and keep people and suitcases together at one entrance. With the sea so near, an early swim before an afternoon flight is easy to fit in. Set the pickup by the flight time rather than the last swim, and leave the wet towels at reception.

• Put Golden Coast and No 13 on the departure booking too; the driver will not go looking through the neighbouring VONRESORT entrances.
• Child seats used on arrival are not carried over by themselves, so ask for them again when you book the ride back.
• If the flight is delayed, there is no need to sit in the lobby: send the new departure time and the pickup is moved to match it.
