Going back, the slow part comes first. The local road from the lake area up to the D400 serves the coaches and transfer cars of every hotel in Titreyengöl, and on a summer changeover morning they queue at the entrances and the turnings. Before dawn the same road is empty and the car is on the highway within minutes. From there the 72 km run west is dual carriageway past the Side junction, Serik and Aksu, with lights at a few junctions, and outside the busiest weeks the 65 minutes are a fair estimate.

An evening flight leaves a long last day, and Manavgat, about 4 km away, fills it easily: the bazaar streets, the riverside and a boat trip towards the sea. Keep the departure itself simple, though. Book the car from the hotel at a fixed hour and go into town separately beforehand, because a pickup in Manavgat followed by a return to the hotel for the cases would mean driving the slow local road twice. Ask reception to hold the bags after checkout, and come back to the lobby in good time before the agreed hour.
